APPRENTICES FUNDRAISING AT FORD AND SLATER

Late last year five apprentices from across the Ford & Slater dealer network participated in a 50KM cross-country trek through the Peak District, as part of Trekfest 2017.

Apprentices Tom Rowe, Curt Lovegrove, Connor Wilson, Liam Cooper, Levi Knights and Sonny Meijer decided to take on the two-day trek in order to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust, a non-profit organisation which provides care and support for young people and families living with cancer.

The 31-mile trek named ‘The Peaks’ began in Hope Valley – the heart of the peak district – and saw our apprentices crossing the summit of Kinder Scout, which at 2,087ft is the highest point in the East Midlands.

With an original target of £1,000, the lads were thrilled to achieve almost twice that amount, raising £1,987 for Teenage Cancer Trust. We are incredibly proud of our apprentices for their courageous effort, and a big thank you to everyone who donated to this fantastic cause.
