D L Rogers (DLR) Transport has recently taken delivery of five brand New DAF XF480 Super Space trucks from Ford & Slater, Kings Lynn.
The specialist haulier operates a mixed fleet of 40 trucks used mainly within the construction industry and an extensive Moffett fleet delivering an off or on-load facility for all types of goods. With a progressive and hardworking fleet, Operations Manager, Simon Foster, depends on a strong business relationship with his truck dealer to ensure that his operations run smoothly.
Simon explains, “We have been purchasing trucks from Ford & Slater for around 13 years now, and have developed a strong and long-lasting relationship with members of their sales team. We like to keep a modern, up-to-date fleet and due to the relationship we have with Ford & Slater and how happy our drivers are with DAF trucks, we knew where to go for a good investment.”
DLR Transport’s latest procurement of XF DAF trucks follows their official unveiling at the CV Show in May 2017, where Simon first viewed the New DAF XFs which lead to an order for five.
“We were already looking to replace some older vehicles when we were invited to attend the CV Show by Ford & Slater, so the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. DLR Transport has always supported and invested in the DAF brand and we wanted to maintain the reliability of our fleet, so we went with the best on the market – the XF.”
