FAREWELL TO RETIRING COMMERCIAL OPERATIONS DIRECTOR, PHIL CLAYTON

This month we say a fond farewell to Ford & Slater’s Commercial Operations Director Phillip Clayton, who retires after 22 years with the company and a lifetime with the DAF franchise.

Phil joined Ford & Slater in August 1997 and under his leadership the company has retained its excellent reputation for service levels and ethical behaviour, with many staff members being internally promoted to senior management positions.

One of Phil’s greatest achievements with the Company has been his involvement with Ford & Slater’s award-winning Apprenticeship Programme that we continue to benefit from to this day.

We thank Phil for his excellent contribution to the success of Ford & Slater, the Apprentice Programme and the wider DAF network.

Changes in Management

With Phil retiring his seat, the position of Commercials Operations Director will now be held by Keith Spurway. Keith has overseen Ford & Slater’s Norwich, Kings Lynn and Wisbech dealerships since 2012 and we are excited to see Keith take on this role with the determination and enthusiasm he has shown in his many years as Dealer Principal and Director.

Keith’s move to Commercials Operations Director will see his previous responsibilities now with John Ball, one of the most experienced and competent service managers in the DAF dealer network.

We would like to congratulate Phil on his retirement and wish him the best with his future plans, and also congratulate both Keith and John on their promotions.
