Last night we opened our doors at Ford & Slater Leicester to welcome over 20 prospective young apprentices and their families to our annual apprenticeship open evening.
Beginning the evening with a short presentation from our very own apprentices, Abhay Gulati and Mason Bannister, our guests were introduced to DAF, PACCAR Inc and a personal insight into the apprenticeship scheme.
Our visitors then headed on a tour of the Ford & Slater departments, lead by Michelle Bolton King, which concluded in our workshop. With the help of Lee Sursham, our Apprenticeship Co-ordinator and a handful of our amazing apprentices, we arranged various hands-on activities for attendees to get hands on with some real vehicles, including a trip into an inspection pit and a race to find out who could build a rear tail light the fastest!
We would like to thank the students, their families and guardians for coming along to our opening evening to learn more about our apprenticeship scheme. We hope to see you soon!
