Ford & Slater Norwich has donated £1,000 to East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH), at the Royal Norfolk Show 2019.

For over 20 years Ford & Slater Norwich has hosted a trade stand at The Royal Norfolk Show - the county’s annual celebration of the local agricultural sector. For the last two-years instead of purchasing complimentary tickets for customers, Ford & Slater has decided to donate this money to good causes.

Ford & Slater Commercial Operations Director, Keith Spurway, explained, “We feel it is a wonderful thing to be able to donate to such worthy causes, and we truly appreciate the support our customers have shown.”

Following a donation to Norfolk Air Ambulance in 2018, Ford & Slater chose to support another local charity this year, presenting a cheque for £1,000 to Caroline Allen and Carol Plunkett on behalf of EACH. EACH support families throughout East Anglia, in caring for children and young people with life-threatening conditions. They offer families the flexibility and control over where they receive care and support, including end of life care.

Keith Spurway commented, “Nearly all staff at Norwich have children and understand the hardships and difficult situations that any family can face.

“We recognised EACH as a one-of-a-kind service which helps to support families through some of the hardest times in their lives. They are a charitable organisation with roots in Norfolk and we are pleased and proud to have been able to offer this donation on behalf of the Company.”
